Reticor 0.025 Tretinoin is an acne medicine that contains Tretinoin. This cream used to reduce the number of acne and accelerate the healing of acne. Tretinoin is a retinoid that works by influencing the growth of skin cell turnover.

Topical tretinoin is a drug to treat acne. The drug can also be used to treat fine wrinkles, dark spots, and rough skin on the face caused by sun exposure. Tretinoin belongs to a class of medications called retinoids. It works by affecting the growth of skin cells.

Tretinoin as a topical skin treatment isn’t new. It’s been used to treat mild to moderate acne for almost 50 years. Tretinoin combination products sometimes contain antibacterial ingredients for treatment of acne.

How to use Reticor 0.025 Tretinoin Topical Cream

• Read the Patient Information Leaflet if one is available from your pharmacist.
• Wash your hands before applying this medication. Gently clean the affected skin with a mild or soapless cleanser and pat dry. Use your fingertips to apply a small amount of medication (about the size of a pea) in a thin layer, usually once daily at bedtime or as directed by your doctor.
• Use this medication on the skin only. Do not apply to the inner lip area or inside the nose/mouth. Do not apply to cut, scraped, sunburned, or eczema-affected skin.
• During the first few weeks of using tretinoin, your acne might appear worse because the medication is working on pimples forming inside the skin. It may take up to 8-12 weeks to notice results from this medication.
